We love letters, but we do have a few rules: keep it at around 500 words, please do not attack anyone, be civil, and put your name to it.
The calendar items will be limited to 100 words of text so please keep this in mind when sending over your announcements. Additionally, information regarding upcoming events will run for a maximum of three weeks. Any additional details will be published on our company website’s calendar.
Our publications are supported solely through our advertisers. The charged will be $40/week per paper.
Generally, we will not. This type of information is considered advertising. Nutfield Publishing covers town government, school, sports and nonprofits with the occasional feature. We do not do business profiles unless that business is involved in one of our core coverage subjects./p>
No. We do not barter ad sales for writing stories. We separate advertising from editorial for two important reasons.
1) The singular job of the Editorial Department is to build a large and attractive audience (our readers) and to do that, they need complete freedom to write about what they feel will get more people to read the paper. This benefits all advertisers because the larger the audience, the more people advertisers ads reach. We feel strongly that editorial must be completely independent from advertising to build a large and attractive audience.
2) We feel strongly that our advertisers deserve the most value we can provide; we need to treat all of our advertisers the same. This way everyone wins.
We do not have one. Our staff is here to provide a medium to educate and inform both sides of a story in as fair, accurate, and detailed manner as possible. We want to let you decide what you think.
All advertisers must pre-pay for 2 weeks of advertising. We accept cash, check, Visa or MasterCard; we offer a 2 percent discount when paying your subsequent bills within 10 days. Advertisers have the option to be automatically billed on a credit card or pay in full to receive a discount, or they can be billed through our normal billing cycle. Please note: No discount will be given to non-frequency contract advertisers except for advanced payment. (This is not true; we can’t do that. 2% is 2% regardless of who is being billed. It automatically prints on every invoice)
Nutfield Publishing will not run ads for anything it deems inappropriate for its audience. The Publisher reserves the right to reject any ads for any reason.
