Editor Receives National Award
Published September 17, 2009

Nutfield Publishing Editor Leslie O’Donnell received first place in the National Federation of Press Women’s (NFPW) 2009 Communications Contest in the category of non-daily newspaper publications regularly edited by entrant, for her work as editor of the Nutfield News.

She received the award from NFPW President Marsha Shuler of Louisiana at the Communications Contest banquet, held at the organization’s annual conference in San Antonio, Texas on Sept. 12.

The judge’s comments describe the Nutfield News as “a good mix of hard news, features, sports and photos. Your staffers must work pretty hard to produce this much original copy on a weekly basis. Keep up the good work.”

O’Donnell has been the editor of Nutfield Publishing’s three newspapers - the Londonderry Times, Nutfield News, and Tri-Town Times - for 2-1/2 years.
