CHESTER – The Town of Chester has few fields for organized sports, but through the efforts of the Chester Field of Dreams Committee, the youth of the community may eventually have more opportunities to play ball.

The Field of Dreams Committee hopes to build two new soccer fields and two new baseball fields in town. The committee is a separate entity from the town recreation department.

“We’re doing it for the kids. I want to see my son play on a nice field,” committee member Joann Hassam said. more

He proposed installing a partition starting at the door adjacent to the kitchen, and running to the back of the room by the vault area. Tea Time

The East Hampstead Union Church hosted its annual Victorian Tea Party  on the lawn outside the church last Saturday. Pictured are Aria Heil, 7, and her mom, Anna Heil, being served tea by Adrienne Schluter. Proceeds raised from the event went to benefit the church’s Mortgage Fund for the preservation of the historic building. Its next fund raiser will be a Penny Sale in October.
